Ms. Fasig interviews George White, creative director of Gibson Cards, asking how he discovered Deborah’s art and why he created a spot for her in the new Gibson Greetings card series, “Artist’s Corner,” which features, among others, Flavia and Laura Ashely. Mr. White on Deborah’s work: “The more I see it, the more I like it,” Mr. White said of the art. “She paints things that I like in a unique way…”

Deborah Cavenaugh is a self-taught, American artist. Working primarily in watercolor, her art also delves into sculpture, collage and mixed media. Her highly narrative art tells her story of life from the viewpoint of where she is right now. Deborah is also a well-known writer, speaker, illustrator and teacher.
