The Hunting Island Lighthouse stands in the Hunting Island State Beach Park near St. Helena, South Carolina. First lit in 1859, it was destroyed in the Civil War and rebuilt in 1875. Still in operation, visitors are allowed to climb to the top for a beautiful view of the Atlantic.
