This is The Trailing Yew on Monegan Island, Maine. The Yew is an enclave for all kinds of artists from all over the world. They serve a hearty New England communal breakfast and dinner. The place is wonderful and, indeed, I did find my dream there and begin again.

Monhegan is a small privately owned island 13 miles out in the ocean. It is a enclave for artists of all types, really a sort of happenstance art colony, and one of my favorite places.
