Minnie Evans was the gatekeeper for Airlie Gardens in Wilmington, NC.  She sat in the gatehouse admitting visitors and painting her visions of heaven.  Minnie said that God's angels woke her one night when she was a child and instructed her to paint or she would die.  Her work hangs all over the world.
